Education
I received a B.A. in psychology from Yale in 2006, and worked full-time and part time in several animal cognition labs. After graduating, I worked full-time for a year in the Digital Technologies Office doing software support, hardware maintainence and ordering, printing and network support at the Yale School of Art.
I recently completed a diploma program in Classical Animation, and another diploma in Digital Character Animation at Vancouver Film School. I'm working part-time for doing contract design and animation work for several companies, but looking for full-time work in the Bay Area.
Bio
I'm an illustrator, animator and designer. Rigging characters and painting in Photoshop are probably the best time that can be had, short of Flash animation or sculpting in clay, so I spend a lot of time working hard at having fun. Much of my work experience has been design work and animation for kids intellectual properties, school clubs and other interest groups, but currently I'm looking for work in feature films or illustration.
I enjoy chocolate, ultimate frisbee, cognition research, fire juggling, mechanical pencils, hand-set typography, pirates, and sculpting monsters. I have a pet cockatiel and an awesome husband.
